Virtual Private Network (VPN)

VPN service enable subscribers to establish a private network using public network resources. The subscriber's lines connected to different network switches constitute (a) virtual PABX including a number of PABX capabilities such as private numbering Plan (PNP), Call Transfer, Call hold etc. Restrictions on incoming and outgoing calls can also be had. VPN can consist of a number of DELs and or PBXs. The PBX may consist of DELs or junctions. For the purpose of VPN each DEL or junction is taken as one extension. If DID facility is provided each DID No. is taken as an extension.

Tariff

The charges indicated here are VPN service charges and they do not include the normal charges levied for basic telephony service. The services are provided on existing telephone connections.

Minimum period of hire of the service will be one month.

Registration per organization or group of subs desiring VPN Service (one time) Rs.3000/

Creation/deletion/addition/modification of every VPN extn. Number Rs. 100/-

Subscribers up to 64 extns. Will be allotted 5 digit VPN number. 65 to 512 extns. 4 digit and more than 512 extns. 3 digit VPN number.

Feature Charges.

6.1 Basic Feature Charges(The following features are part of basic feature: Private numbering plan, closed user group, on-net calls, on-net to off-net calls, off-net to on-net calls and detailed billing)	Nil
6.2 Monthly charges for additional Features(The additional features are optional and are provided/deleted by BSNL on request from subscribers. These features are time dependent routing, origin dependent routing, call distribution, selection code, abbreviated dialing, call screening, customer specific recorded announcement, Call redirection, etc.)	100/-
6.3 Charges for change of feature(per request)	Rs. 100/-
7.0 Call charges for each unit( to be billed monthly)(The call units will be as per existing BSNL rates applicable for local/STD/ISD calls.There will be no free calls.)	Rs. 1.20
